Meet the neighbors
We've lived here 2 months now, and hadn't met the neighbors to the left of us yet. Well, we met them tonight...awkward moments ensued
Moment 1: Sherry, "We just got back from our Alaskan cruise to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The trip was 2 days too long."
Moment 2: Sherry, "Oh, when did you guys get married? Recently?" Oh, not married. Husband John, "Hmm, we don't judge, don't worry."
Moment 3: John, "Oh you must be busy with projects. We've been here 25 years and we are still busy with projects." Me, "My mom always says your house is full of projects until you move and leave it in the best shape." John (baffled by my words of wisdom), " We're not moving?"

AWK, yes.
Most people don't move around as much as we did, save for military folks (Which, granted, have us beat by a wide margin.)
so that went well :)
Who admits the trip was 2 days too long? Wierd.
"Hmm, we don't judge, don't worry."
In my mind I'd be thinking 'um, you just did... and why would I worry?'
